After Ryan and I saw the play Wicked here in April, we wanted to take the boys to see the wonderful play. I called up my friend Shelli and ask if she would be interested in taking her older girls to go and see the play. She and her husband were in. So September finally arrived and we headed off to San Francisco with our great friend Shelli and Garrick and family. As luck would have it, Shelli's mom was willing to come and watch Abbey and two little ones while we went to the play. Thank you so much to Lorraine, we were so glad that we were able to bring Abbey with us on our family vacation and she made it possible. We also got to stay in Tahoe and their cabin and really had a lot of fun doing that. The boys absolutely loved Wicked!! And they really loved the cabin, they have decided that we now need one(and Ryan and I agree:)) They have been singing the songs of Wicked since April and really enjoyed being able to see it in person and figure out the story line.
We then got to spend the next day at Alcatraz and hanging out at Pier 39. Ryan and the boys went on a submarine and were able to look around. However, for me, the boat ride to Alcatraz didn't sit well, so I decided to avoid that tiny death trap:) We had so much fun and we enjoyed being with Shelli and her family. The kids got along so well.
