I cannot believe that another year has passed and that Drew and Nathan have now turned 6! My little boys are growing up so much. Drew and Nathan love to workout with me whenever I do the P90X workout. In fact, I didn't feel well last week and they still put the workout dvd on and did it without me. Hence, this year they wanted a "workout" party. A workout party, how do you do that? Well, I didn't come up with a neat dumbell cake or a push up cake, so we compromised on a soccer cake but workout theme. It was a family party this year. We asked everyone to come dressed in workout clothes and we had all the little kids do a fitness challenge to earn a medal. They had to run 10 laps, do wall sits for 30 seconds, 10 sit ups, 10 push ups, hold a plank for 30 seconds, and do 60 jumping jacks. Then the grown ups got to take a fitness quiz. I also made two cakes and this year for the first time, we sang to each boy individually. I really liked that, so I think that's a tradition we will keep. So there you go, a workout party. The boys said they loved it, so I guess that is all that counts.
They are such good boys and are just getting so big. They love school, soccer (well any sport really), friends, being together, and copying everything Skyler does. We love that Drew is a perfectionist and insists on doing his homework til it's done perfectly (even if that means writing and erasing the same word over and OVER), he lives by the letter of the law and has to know that he is doing right. Nathan is the eternal peacemaker. He looks out for everyones happiness. He loves to tease like crazy (I wonder where he gets that----maybe his dad:)), and still carries his blanket while playing with his hair. Such awesome boys and we love them so much!!
