Bingham Family Visit

Since Nicole and family moved away we have been pretty consistant on every other year visit. We go to Arkansas one year and the next they come here. This year most of the family met in DisneyWorld and decided that they wouldn't come out to Utah this summer. When I was diagnosed with cancer, I knew that my kids would love the welcome change and the distraction of their cousins. They absolutely love being together and have such great times. Half the time I don't even see Skyler because they just go off and enjoy each others company.

We were so excited when the Bingham's decided that they wanted to come and support us and help make our summer much more enjoyable. Nicole and Scott drove out the end of June and Scott flew home the next morning to work for the week. He then came back and they were able to stay one more week. You would think that 2 weeks would be plenty of time for all the fun you can handle....but seriously...no matter how long we are together it is never enough time. The kids got along so well the entire 2 weeks and we still had things we would have liked to have done with them, but alas, they had to leave. We did manage to do a few things and gratefully, I felt really well and was able to be an active participant.

Here is the picture journal of our 2 weeks.

The first night in we had a big family bbq:

This picture I love: Nicole is my older sister and has always taken care of me. Once she heard I had cancer, she just knew she had to come see me:)

Little McKenna loved Landon and held him most of the time:

Grandpa and Nana organized a bbq in the mountains on day 3 of the visit. It was a little scary to think of going in the canyon...so many people have drowned from the high run off..but thankfully...no accidents for us.

These 4 little kids are all born the same year....one every 2 months...I love seeing how great of friends they are and how much they change each year..

The next day we went downtown to visit grandma at work. We went and had a picnic lunch at temple square plaza. While we were eating it starting pouring rain, so we headed inside the Joseph Smith building, such a pretty view when you go to the top...

Jamie wasn't able to come downtown, but she came over later and we were able to snap this photo. I love my sisters so much and I am so grateful for each one of them in my life..
